Shaft Mounted Drive
   
 
The Shaft Mounted Planetary comprises of two stage helical reduction stages at output and input reduction with standard planetary. Simple planetary consist of a sun gear, planet and ring gear. Planets are combined with the planet carrier rotate at constant centers about the planet carrier. The input is from the sun gear and the drive motion to the planet carrier is via the planet gears. The rolling contact of the planet gears with the ring gear provides the appropriate reduction ratio. Multistage gearboxes are available by connecting the individual stages in sequence. Output is through two stage parallel shaft helical gears to achieve the hollow output mounting.
